The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board of Taiwanese Political Science Review have retracted the following article,

LE QUELLEC, Erwan. 2025. “Where and Who are the Populists in Taiwan? A Microeconomic Study of Populist Attitudes Based on Cross-Strait Individual Preferences.” Taiwanese Political Science Review 29 (2): 231-339. (DOI: 10.6683/TPSR.202512_29(2).0005).

After publication, the Editorial Board learned that the manuscript had been submitted to Taiwanese Political Science Review and another journal on the same date in 2025, and remained under consideration by both journals during overlapping periods.

Taiwanese Political Science Review’s submission policy prohibits a manuscript from being under consideration by another journal at the time of submission and during the review process. The concurrent submission therefore constituted a violation of the journal’s submission policy and grounds for retraction.

The retraction is based on the violation of Taiwanese Political Science Review’s submission policy. The Editorial Board’s decision does not rest on any finding concerning the reliability of the data, the validity of the analysis, or the originality of the work.

The author was informed of the retraction decision and agreed to the retraction. The article remains available on the journal website, but it is digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted.”
